Event Description The gracious hospitality of the Historic General Lewis Inn will be extended to Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce members on Wednesday, March 7 for Business Before Hours from 7:30 to 9:30 am. This morning networking event provides members with an opportunity to meet new clients and customers, as well as relate their latest business news to their colleagues while enjoying the old world charm of the Historic General Lewis Inn and their brunch specialties. Fresh pastries, quiche Lorraine and fresh squeezed orange juice will be served.
The dining room is housed in the former Withrow House which was constructed in 1834 and the property surrounding was the site of the Battle of Lewisburg which left the town in Union hands for the duration of the Civil War. In the 1920’s, the Hock family purchased the house with additions and opened the General Lewis Hotel in 1929. The Hock-Morgan family continues to welcome visitors and neighbors to the stately Inn for a stay or to partake of their delicious Southern fare.
The Inn is now serving Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. The Brunch menu includes Red Raspberry and Vanilla Custard Crepes, Eggs Benedict with Home Fries, Monte Cristo with Fruit Salad, , Baked Brie with Strawberries, Country Ham Biscuits with Sausage Gravy and Belgium Waffles with Fresh Fruit and more… The Lunch menu includes Country Ham Quiche, Shrimp Avocado Salad, , Veggie Cream Cheese Roll-ups, Mango Sorbet with Raspberries and Limon cells, and Fruit Cobblers a’ la mode and more.
