The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce is jump-starting their 2012 Power Lunch series this January. The chamber holds monthly power lunches to better educate residents in Greenbrier County.
This months power-lunch theme is "Build Your Own Website - Fast, Fun, and Easy! "
On January 25 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce welcomes local residents and business associates to the luncheon at the Jefferson Office Park Training Office of New River Community and Technical College.
Al lender Stewart, Chamber's VISTA volunteer will be showing both free and inexpensive resources to help small businesses and individuals make an impact on the web. She will be covering easy ways to update information on your web site, domain hosting, search engine optimization, social media, and the best way to reach your customers.
"Building a web site for your business can be fun and easy with these tips," Stewart said.
The information will also be relevant for those wishing to enhance their existing site. This class is geared towards those with at least introductory experience with computers (email, word processing) and is capped at 25 participants.
The workshop will be hands-on, but there will be an opportunity for a quick lunch. Participants are asked to bring a "brown bag lunch." Some computers are available for participants to use, but must be reserved in advance by calling the Chamber office at 304-645-2818.
Power Lunches are a monthly member resource of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce – contact the Chamber to register at 304-645-2818 or visit www.greenbrierwvchamber.org for more details. Power Lunches are held in conjunction with the Workforce Business Development Office of New River Community and Technical College.
